The Satellite Business Systems (SBS-3) satellite spins inside its protective cradle ahead of being spring-released into space from the cargo bay of the Space Shuttle Columbia during the STS-5 mission, 17th November 1982. Parts of the shuttle's wings can be seen on both the port and starboard sides, and the vertical stabilizer is flanked by the twin OMS pods.
